Hi there and thank you in advance for reviewing this post :o).

I'll be coming in on a cruise w/ 44 of my closet friends to get married (can't wait!!). We are looking at boarding a catamaran at Red Hook in STT and sailing over to St. John to have the ceremony on a beach over there. The Catamarans that I'm looking at are The Daydreamer out of St. Thomas (website: http://daydreamervi.com/) and the Island Spirit that has recently taken over for the Adventurer at the Westin in St. John (website: http://www.divestjohn.com/sailing.html). Does anyone have any info about either vessel, or a suggestion for another?

We'd like it to be as nice & roomy as possible w/ an awesome crew. We'd also like to have a nice lunch provided (& of course an open bar :o)!) It will be about a 4 hour trip. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks again. Look forward to hearing from you.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!! And what a beautiful place to have it! 🙂

We chartered Calypso (the sister to Adventurer) for our wedding reception (wedding was on the beach). To charter Calypso, we needed 15 minimum and to charter Adventurer, we needed 25 minimum. I believe the Adventurer can hold your size - want to say she was 53-feet. We had sailed on her as a daysail to Jost Van Dyke several months prior to the wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our day. We were very impressed with the staff onboard - and a couple crew that we had on Adventurer in 2002 were also on the Calypso for our reception in 2003.

If you must be transported by dinghy to the beach (or wedding location) the dinghy held 5-6 guests at one time.

Hubby and I give the Adventurer (and staff) four thumbs up!

Hello (Again) ~ Thank you Mandy for the scoop. Unfortunately the Adventurer has gone out of business or switched ownership or something. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Thanks a million!
