We used Sprint in Charlotte Amalie. I have already checked for Sprint service when we're in STX next month and the map shows coverage.

Verizon and AT&T both work well on STT and STJ, but roaming charges are HIGH!

My Sprint phone worked very well in almost all areas of St. Croix. Had excellent coverage around Christiansted.

Sprint, Cingular, AT&T, Verizon, all work. Sprint has the best package I think. All of the coverage is shabby. No one has perfect coverage, not even Centenial, which is out of Puerto Rico, which I use. I find them to be the clearest and Sprint seems to be as well.

Our Sprint phones worked everywhere on STT as long as we were outside -- had trouble getting a decent signal inside our hotel room (which was cinderblock contruction). We stayed just outside of Red Hook and traveled all over the island and to St. John with no loss of signal.
