Does anyone happen to know if there are any Chase banks or ATMs on St. Thomas? Or, alternatively, what banks/ATMs are popular on St. Thomas and in the continental 48? thanks in advance!

Chase does not exist on STT. Local banks include Banco Popular (Puerto Rico) Scotiabank (Nova Scotia, Canada) and First Bank (Puerto Rico). Most ATM cards from stateside banks work at our local banks. On the mainland, a couple of of big cities with a large Puerto Rican population have a branch of Banco Popular.

Hm, there's a Banco Popular right near where I live. Maybe I'll open an account there - I just don't want to rack up tons of ATM fees while I'm in St. Thomas or carry around a ton of travelers checks.

Anyone know if Citibank still has a presence on STT? I seem to remember one but never used it - might need it this May trip, tho, and it was just good to know it was there.

Thanks!

You can use Bank of America ATM cards at Scotiabank without any fees.
