I'm planning a trip to St. Croix for next summer and I'm having a difficult time narrowing down which villa to rent for the week.

Does anyone have any info on any of the following villas?

Coyaba -- The Breakers -- Seaglass Villa -- Seabreeze -- Vista Turquesa -- OR -- The Islander

The pics all look very nice, but any info from someone "in-the-know" would help greatly!!

Thanks for any information!!

Hello juliaj

Our family rented the Islander for the last week of June and the 1st week of July way back in '99. This villa did not have AC when we rented it, it may or may not have it at this point in time, that didn't bother any of us - there was always a constant breeze, and I can remember the curtains blowing straight out at times. There are ceiling fans through out the villa which makes for comfortable sleeping. The pool is just steps from the back of the villa. This villa is located in Shoys Estates on the east side of the island next to the buccaneer resort & just a 3 minute car ride to Shoys beach. The view from the pool area overlooks Green Cay Marina. I would stay at the Islander again. I hope this helps - sorry I can't help you with the other villa's

Have fun with all your planning
Have fun in STX - it's a beautiful place

Thanks so much for your input, Steve! I did know about the no A/C. If you stayed there in June and July and still felt that it was comfortable, then I think we should have no problems in May.

As I said, the pics all looked great, but it's helpful to have the input of someone who's actually been there. Thanks again!

Your very welcome - if infact you do rent the Islander & you have any specific questions about the villa or beaches in that area or anything else, you can email me or post another message and I'll try to help you.

I've never stayed at the villas you mentioned but I have been renting villas on st.croix for the past 4 years. I've rented Villa Dawn at Cane Bay. The view from the pool is absolutely georgeous. Off the Wall beach bar is down the hill and is a very fun place. I've stayed at Villa Soleil in Judith's Fancy. The view was absolutely gorgeous and it is a nice villa. I've seen Sea Glass & the Breakers in Judith's Fancy. They are right at the ocean and I could see where they would have a great view. I've stayed at Villa Horizon but I believe it was sold. Not a good view of the sea. Last year I stayed at Paradise Point and this was the best of them all. Unfortunately, it was sold (we were the last guests to rent it) and the new owner's will not be renting it out. Too bad, because I would go back to this villa every year. Next year, we are going to try Sea Spray Shores at Grapetree. I think this villa is going to be superb. It's right down the road from the Divi. Good luck with the villa and enjoy St Croix!

We stayed at Coyoba 3 yrs ago. It was well maintained and perfect for my husband and I. Two bedrooms and baths, good kitchen and a BEAUTIFUL view. The pool overlooks the sea and Buck Island. It is located on the east end of the island- drier than the west and quiet. We loved the area so much we bought a condo next door ( The Reef)

Thank you so much for your input, everyone! It really helps to get some recommendations from people who have been to the island before.

rocnra-

I've seen the site for Sea Spray Shores and I agree that it looks fabulous. I was actually very interested in staying there, but I've had the hardest time getting in touch with the owner, even though on the website says to call 24 hours a day to talk to owner or staff. I had to repeatedly either e-mail or call and leave messages before receiving any sort of response, which usually came 2 to 3 weeks afterward. I hope that you've had better luck than I.

Thanks again everyone!!
