I was reading the thread on the web cam and can't believe there is a Subway in Cruz Bay. What about a Starbucks?*-)
What kind of coffee is there on STJ that anyone enjoys? I ask only because coffee is one mine and my wifes "loves" in the mornings.

you can buy starbucks at the starfish market
like everything it is a little more than in the states, but not much

we are just back from stj, but we took our own coffee. It is really about the only staple we carry - not sure why they sold the same bag of starbucks at the market

As for Subway - Woody's happy hour can be brutal with the lowering sun
Subway offers some shade, but that is all I have ever used it for 🙂

Thanks for telling us where to buy delicious coffee - I really enjoy a rich flavored iced coffee on a hot day playing dominoes in a shady spot 😛

Cheers! (tu)

Here is the link to STJ Spice so you can see their coffee selection. Just want to mention though, they do not sell coffee ready to drink they only sell the beans 🙂

Another person for STJ Spice.

The Kiss of the Jumbie is incredible. We brewed some and poured it into a liter bottle and kept it cold so we had iced coffee when we needed it. I like to add a little Bailey's to it instead of milk, it is like a yummy cocktail with the caffeine kick. Perfect for the beach!

We had some Caribbean Gold last year and really enjoyed it. I think we bought the French Roast, but I believe there were some other choices as well. You can get it at the Deli Grotto at Mongoose Junction.

Enjoy!

We were in St John in October 2005 and stopped to get coffee drinks at Everyting each morning. Are they still around? If so, they had good coffee and tea drinks.

Everyting is still around but it relocated to Gallows (I haven't been in there since they moved though but I hear they do not carry all that they used to)

I read an earlier post about a new coffee shop in St. Thomas. It is in Smith Bay across from the old Renaissance Resort. We went to it and it is fabulous. They have a great variety and the quality is better than Starbucks. Great morning pastries and quiches, a great way to start the day. The staff is friendly and they have a liquor license, so you can get very inventive with your flavored Lattes if that is your thing. They also grind coffee fresh if you prefer to brew it at home.
