Now, I'm sure the Old Tart can put together a fine corned beef and cabbage feast, even though she's British and all, but given it's a day of rest for her, have you considered joining the crowd at Molly Malone's?

BTW, is corned beef readily available in the supermarkets this time of year for those who prefer to cook at home. I only go in August, and quite honestly, have never looked looked for it, but I'm curious.

I am a big fan of corn beef and cabbage, with good mustard and good apple cider vinegar for each, respectfully.

I do miss my Irish grandma's fish (fried haddock) and chips on Fridays! This was the only seafood I would eat - I am slightly allergic to some sea-foods...

Peg: Rumor has it that the Old Tart obviously disappointed a lot of people by not doing the corned beef this year and is planning on doing it very soon. It's her understanding that it doesn't have to be served JUST on St Patrick's Day. Cheers!

Molly Malones has corned beef and cabbage everyday. Otherwise I already have about 10 pounds of it cooking in my kitchen right now! Have plans for at least 20 close friends and family coming over. As you can tell by my name, I am from a crazy fun Irish family. I love St. Patricks Day, good thing that I didn't give up beer for lent.

Molly
