I just booked a last minute trip for my daughter, 2 grandkids and myself, staying at the Crystal cove condos.. My favorite condos weren't available and had trouble booking a flight and hotel at Spring break time. STT resident, Sherri or anyone else know anything about these units. We stayed at Bolongo 13 years ago and thought those we were run-down at the time. Any comparison?

The kids are now 6 & 10 and were there 3 years ago, they don't care where they stay, they are just so excited to be going.

Also, do you know of anywhere that has a lobster special? When we were there last year, a resident of the place we stayed said she was going out at 5am to meet a lobster fisherman, she would not share her secret but I got the impression it was around Red Hook. hmm, I've never cooked a whole lobster , do they have to be alive when put in the water?

STT resident, is your place a family friendly one? What are you known for , other than a great sense of humor? Do you serve breakfast?

Any help is appreciated........Donna

The condos at Crystal Cove are individually owned so vary greatly. The beach is exceptional.

Some of the markets will cook the lobster fro you, but it is not a cheap meal.

Caribbean lobsters are more delicate than the cold water ones. They are easily overcooked. I prefer grilled to boiled. Yes, it really needs to be alive! Robert's at the Elysian has an excellent lobster special. Call ahead to see if they are available. It is about $45 or so.

Crystal Cove Condos are to the left, facing the water, of Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina. They are on Sapphire Beach and are in a semi circle set back a bit from the beach. I'm pretty sure Antille's Resorts manages most of them as they do for part of Sapphire Beach Resort. here is the link, http://www.antillesresorts.com/2crystalcove.htm Great area, close to Red Hook and many great Restaurants. Ferry Terminal.
