Weather.com is reporting St. Thomas is under a tropical storm warning and hurricane watch. That was a couple of hours ago. What is the situation there now?

Same as then, a tropical storm is going right over the top of us.

Looking out over Sapphire Beach the wind is about 45 MPH and the rain is VERY heavy. Can't see St. John or the beach. It should pass around 8-9 PM.

And of course we have no cable but still have power.

Gifft Hill, St. John...we are getting slammed. Many trees down...horrible winds and rain. Thank God for rum punch!

Mine was out for 24 hours (East End) and came back on around 4PM today. Waiting to hear what WAPA's excuse will be this time around ...

Some thunderstorms and heavy rain this afternoon but all is quiet now so hopefully we'll see the sun again tomorrow and everything will start drying out.
