Hi Islander,

Trip was great!!...and we're already planning a trip back to Cinnamon Bay to go camping with the kids!

After everything (good & bad) I'd read on the board, I was kind of nervous about the driving but it turned out OK. We arrived in STT at about 8:30pm, went straight to the Avis counter & by the time our luggage had arrived I had the jeep & had contacted our villa owners to let them know we were on our way (they'd explained that a car was required as taxis did not go up the hill to where the villa was located). Needless to say, it was a windy & only 1/2 paved road (almost directly above Bolongo Bay) kinda hairy that first nite driving up.. but after a day or so was kinda fun (but dont tell hubby i said that - me driving up & down hill at like 6 mph was not his idea of fun lol)

Our first nite we ventured down the hill & just grabbed some snack type foods at the gas station/market across the way from the Texaco station (grrr can't remember the name, but its right past the school), went back up the windy hill and ate, unpacked & then just passed out hehehe..

First morning, hubby was up early and I woke up to him saying.. Cyn get up and get out here & check out this view!! WOW!!! 😀
We had the most beautifulEST view ever! If someone can tell me how to post pics I will!

We had our first b'fast @ the Lobster Grille (soo yummy!!) and then headed off to Kmart & Plaza Xtra for groceries & misc. items. Driving on the left seems soo weird & it was too funny how hubby & grandpa kept saying.. stay left cyn stay left. We found it, no problems & shopped away, got back to villa, changed & headed down to Bolongo to (finally!) hit the beach.

Beach was sooo nice - i'm not a good swimmer but DH is 1/2 fish i think! He was off & snorkeling & telling me abt all the fishies he saw... grandpa & i were happy with our drinks & lounging. Iggies was cool.. had our first painkillers there weeee those sure can throw ya for a loop if ur not careful! 😛

As far as beaches ... on STT we only went to Bolongo & Magen's (omg another beautiful beach) which btw we only just found by accident... we just went driving along & were exploring & came upon it. Thats another story tho.. driving around & chit chatting with people was great! We'd gone over to Coral World & then just cruised around. Coral World was cool.. took lots of fishy pictures and got chased by an Iguana hahaha ok maybe not, but i swear he was lookin at me!!

Once we ferried over to STJ we were hooked! Went back every day around noon, hit trunk bay or cinnamon then headed over to Woody's for happy hour n food.

Trunk Bay was beautiful.. calm.. not too crowded.. even I ventured out into the water with hubby. Our last day there water was "rough" and poor grandpa tried running to our spot under tree before wave came up but he it got him & his shoes/socks got soaked.

Yikes!! I didnt realize how much i rambled on.. there's more to tell but i'm supposed to be working hehehe - if someone can tell me how to post pics I'd really appreciate it!!

I'll post more later.. but it was awesome visiting your beautiful islands.. can't wait to go back!!
Cyn:-)

Cyn, glad to hear you had a great time. Funny about the iguana 'looking at you'. LOL

Posting Pics: they have to be on a photo sharing site; once there you right on the photo and choose properties. In properties highlight and copy the URL. In your message area use the 3rd option in the editor tools - the one right next to the smiley face. Enter the picture's URL in the field, submit and you'll see the URL appear in the mesage box. Repeat for additional photos. Or if you have the album on the photo sharing site set to public you can just post a link to the whole album and folks can check it out there.

Thanks for the trip report!
