I'm sure you guys get the same questions over & over - thanks for your patience, answers and advice 🙂

We are staying on Water Island. We're looking for a day sail to the BVI for 2 adults and 2 children.
Prefer to leave from the west side of STT (nearer Crown Bay).

We like snorkeling - my husband likes also to dive.
We did the Fury 1/2 day sail to Buck Island yesterday. Loved it and the quiet and gentle feel of the boat.

Any suggestions appreciated...

The distance, wind and sea conditions, and time frame for a day sail with Customs involved both in the BVI and again on your return to the USVI do not really allow for a -- sailboat -- trip from the Harbor. It is very doable in a power vessel - but is still a lot of time on the water compared to the snorkel and beach time.

Yes, I do agree. (tried to tell the hubby that)

Ok - since we were enamored with the sail boat yesterday - could a sail from Amalie that is even more cooler than our Buck Island sail be recommended?

You could certainly call the same vessel and ask if there is another destination they could go to for your family - if it is a six passenger, Uninspected Vessel, they may well give you an exclusive if they have no other commitments.

Since you are on Water Island ask around for Captain Carl and his pretty ship VANDOR, he will certainly accommodate your family and knows the waters very well for a different destination.
