Hi folks

It seems that all the day sails to the BVI leave from STJ. I'm wondering if anyone sails to the BVI from Red Hook? I'll be on STT, and while I can get to Cruz Bay on the ferry, it would be nice to have the option of sailing from the East End.

If not, is it because the boats have to return to U.S. immigration and customs at Cruz Bay? Seems like a missing chance for some operators to tap into a bigger market on STT.

Been to the Baths, snorkeled Norman Island, been to White Bay. But that's what I really want to go back to. Limin' in a hammock at the Soggy Dollar! 😀

Thanks.

Mark

A ferry runs from STT to Jost; if you're craving some quality time at the Soggy Dollar, maybe do that vs. a day sail -- you'll have more time on shore. Enjoy!

Whenever we have went to JVD was on the Bad Kitty which itself is a nice boat and a great friendly staff but it only spends about one hour at the soggy dollar. I know other boats spend more time there but I don't know off hand who they are.

There are plenty of day sails from STT to the BVI. Bad Kitty is one. Stormy Petrel (340) 775-7990 is another. Captain Nautica (340) 715-3379. There are probably others, but these are all I can come up with for now.

Just recently took a trip to Jost from the Wyndham. Daydreamer it was called. Nice day stop to snorkel, Foxy's and Soggy Dollar. Reasonablly priced. Had a great time, includes open bar which is nice.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. All sound like reasonable options. The sad thing is that all have to leave JVD so early to get back to Cruz Bay before the Immigration office closes at 4 PM. Need to plan a few days on JVD one of these trips so I can hang around when all the daytrippers are gone! 😀
