We will be at Secret Harbor for 8 days in December and want to have at least one all day snorkel. We've done Heavenly Days often, staying at Bolongo, but want something different. We prefer to go out of Sapphire, since parking in Red Hook is expensive and almost impossible, or has been in the past. Rumbaba has been recommended, but is in Red Hook.Nightwind has been suggested. Don't think of suggesting Winifred! Did that once, and that was more than enough! Not into lots of drinking and partying, just a nice sail, good food, and some gentle snorkeling. Ideas?

Not sure if True Love is still operating out of Sapphire
Classic boat, A Malabar designed and built by Alden
It was also the boat used in the movie True Love with Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly
(her last movie before becoming Princess of Monaco)
This is a REAL sailboat!

If you decide to go to the other way I would recommend Capt Mike and Fury
http://www.usvisailing.com/
Always had a good time and he enjoys sailing not just motor sailing from place to place.
Pretty sure Fury goes out of Marriot

True Love was recently sold and was on her way North -sad to see her leave after so many years here.
Nightwind and New Horizons work out of Sapphire.

My son crewed on True Love a few years back
I have sailed on many a boat, but the True Love experience under sail was unique.
Lines, Speed, and history all came together

If you know where she is headed I would be interested - PM if you like

thanks

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to ask another question, same topic. Anyone sailed with Ike Witt? It sounds like fun. Is parking still awful at Red Hook or did that (planned for) new garage finally open? What will it cost to park for the day if we have to go out of Red Hook. Thanks

I would suggest that you take the Nightwind. The new owners are real nice. The Ike Witt is also a pretty good sail.

Either one would be a good choice.

The New Horizons takes a lot of people. So while the others sit 6 this sits 30.

Your choice.

Nightwind is USCG inspected for 18 passengers - - Capt. Pat has sold Ike Witt, it also has new owners.
