Hey everyone I have been looking at all day sails and they are all a little to pricey for me especially since it would only be for my girl friend and I. I have contacted a few of the charter people and they have told me to find people who are traveling at the same time and to split the cost. But I have no idea where to find other people who are traveling then. We will be in St. Thomas between March 8-15. If anyone is interested in splitting the cost for a day sail or has information on how to find other people who will be traveling at the same time I would greatly appreciate any help. Some info about us we are both college student in Florida and will be traveling for spring break we are not into the normal just getting wasted aspect of spring break we both work really hard in school and at our jobs and want to take this time and relax with each other. But don't get us wrong we are both very social and love having a great time we just want to be able to remember our good time lol. Are ages are 20 and 22 she is a teacher assistant and is great with kids so we would be happy with splitting the cost with another family or another couple. I will check this site periodically but if you want to contact me sooner you can email me at [email protected] thanks for all the help.

Hello pabloluna86, sounds like you are checking with the 6 pack charters. They carry 6 passengers max, in which case you'd want 4 more to share the cost. You may also want to look into the larger charters, you would be joining other groups/individuals. Try the St. Thomas Daysails page on this site, there are several day charters listed - some 6 packs, some 12-18 passengers and some larger charters.

pabloluna86,

In March you will have plenty of options for day sails.
Not sure where you are staying in STT or if you have car available?
Are you trying to get to the BVI or just a day sail in STT area or STJ good enough.

As I say I do not think once you get on island you will have a problem hooking up with a trip.

If the BVI is in your wishes - I would advise the passport.
We did Daydreamer at Spring Break time over to JVD and there were a lot of young folks part of the group.
The Fury goes out of the Marriot and usually has space for two and they do half day as well a full day.
Make sure they understand you do not want the whole boat to yourself.

Little more info may be helpful

Quite a few of the 6 passenger vessels will sail with only 2 at their regular per person rate and they will also try to book other people if they can - you do not have to charter the whole boat unless you wanted to - check out the Red Hook day sail boats if you want a St John sailing and snorkeling trip.
The multi passenger Inspected Vessels almost always combine couples and groups on the boat so that would be no problem either.
