Thanks everyone for all the info on this board. It has really helped us plan. What suggestions are there for sail and snorkle? Half Day is fine. What ships or destinations? Virgin Gorda? Many thanks in advance.

It depends upon your interest. There are the larger charters (Limnos and Horizon) that get good reviews from this board. Limnos calls on STJ while Horizon hails from STT. Both visit the BVI. If you do a search for either you will get plenty of postings with information/feedback.
If you want the smaller 6 max charters, I always recommend the Wayward Sailor (Phil Chalker) out of Cruz Bay. He does full and half day and is an excellent charter for snorkeling.

I too recommend the wayward sailor, have done his trip twice to Jost VanDyke and several snorkeling spots. He is a wealth of info. and plus is fun to spend time with.

Boat is a little small, yet his knowledge and openess more than makes up for it.

Highly Recommend.....
