Are there any shops that sell designer knock offs such as purses, handbags, etc. in Charlotte Amalie?

Are you kidding? LOL You will see more designer knock-offs than you have ever imagined. I travel to Manhattan twice a week and still think STT has more!!!

Actually, you'll find a good portion over at the outdoor market at the other side of the post office (if you are walking away from Mail Street and toward the fort) - tables and tables! And, I recently learned that they are selling them on Coki beach. Sheesh - not happy about that! Is nothing sacred? LOL

Thx Bluewater. Are you talking about the same section where all the t-shirts are sold?

Oh baby! Bluwater is right! I go to Manhattan occassionally to buy knock-off's, but the selection in CA outdoor market is much better! Actually New Orleans' french market is good too - - not sure where you live.

None-the-less, you'll see "Burberry" "Prada" "Kate Spade" "Chanel"......it's all good! Be sure to haggle.

In addition to being a LUSH...LandLockedBeachLover is also a purse/shoe/clothes ADDICT!

Hi Bluwater. Thanks for that info. One in our party is looking for Oakley's. Do you know if there is a place at the market with those? Thanks so much.

Hopper-

I have to admit that I'm not a shopper, so I haven't noticed what sunglases are available. I only know they have the bags because my daughter likes for me to buy her those cheesy little island dresses sold over in Vendor's Plaza (thanks for the name reminder, Islander)and those bags are everywhere! I'm willing to bet they have Oakleys. Maybe someone else will know...

Anyone?

Hopper, let us know if you find them. It will be good to know for future reference.

Enjoy!

I only have two eyes, so I'm more concerned with how well sunglasses protect my eyes rather than which manufacturer's name is on them. Personally, I'm not keen on trusting MY eyes to a "knock-off". If someone is wanting good name-brand sunglasses at a reasonable price, I'd suggest looking in the Campmor catalog. (www.campmor.com). They usually have overstocks and clearance sunglasses, and that's where my Bolle's and Ray-Ban's came from.

LOL- good point canoebase. As I was reading your post I couldn't help but think of that commercial with the dog talking to his owner about the car lease...but he was saying "leash".

And when the owner corrected him, he turned and said "ooooooh". That commercial is too funny and I don't knwo why your post made me think of it.

Thanks to both of you. It's our teenager who is looking for sunglasses. When he saw the prices yesterday at CA, he thought he'd check out knockoffs. Your point is well taken. The market sounds like fun so we will still go. Tomorrow we will go to Coral World,Paradise Point, then top off our day at Udder Delight.
This board has been great. Sue

Sue....

"Tomorrow we will go to Coral World,Paradise Point, then top off our day at Udder Delight."

booo hooo! Tomorrow, I'll be working all day and dreaming about Udder Delight, Coral World and Paradise Point.

To add insult to injury, my parents just called and said "can you book us two tickets to Anguilla for next week?" (they don't have a computer) ==== Boooo Hoo!

And then a friend from STT called and said "oh, I have a bad reception on my cell becasue I'm in Tortola - today is CARNIVAL here!" and just then I heard the music in the background.....
Booooo hooo!!!

I miss Paradise terribly today!

Have a great day tomorrow! Kiss the sunshine for me.
