Hi!

We're flying in next week to get married and enjoy a week in STJ and cannot wait -- but logistically I have a concern that hopefully someone can help out with some advice. 😉

We arrive in STT at 2pm and were hoping to run to the courthouse to get our marriage license and then run to Cost U Less to stock up on supplies and still catch the car barge over to STJ -- is that super pushing it? Or do you think it is doable?

Also, does anyone have directions from the airport to the courthouse? and then from the courthouse to Cost U less? I've looked all over the internet trying to get directions but they seem hard to come by.

I appreciate any help you can provide!

Have a great day!
Leianne

You should be able to catch the barge. The last one from St. Thomas is 6:30 pm. See http://www.hillcreststjohn.com/barge.html

To get to the courthouse from the airport, stay on the Harwood Highway, route 30.

Cost u Less on the Weymouth Highway, route 38 and get to route 32, which will take you to Red Hook to catch the barge.

See map,

I just don;t think it will happen that easy here in STT. You had better call them and see what gives. Then you will know. But make sure that you get the name of the person that will have your paperwork. If not you will be comming back the next day.

In all honesty, it IS that easy! Finish at the airport by 3, stop at the court house on the way, then to Cost U Less, and then the barge. VERY DOABLE! Only thing that might mess you up is if your plane is late!
At the court house, go up the stairs in the courtyard, to the right. Go in the doors and up to the counter. The girls there are very helpful and KNOW what they are doing! You'll be done in 15 minutes, tops! If you or your coordinator have sent your paperwork in already, all will go smoothly! Let us know how it goes!

The courthouse process is pretty quick and easy. The ladies there are very nice! My only advice would be don't spend a ton of time at Cost U Less and get to the car barge as early as you can. The last boat can get crowded, and if any of the barges are out for maintenance, there will be a line of people waiting. I know one of the Boyson barges is waiting to get a new ramp put on, but it's hard to say just when that will happen (this week, next week??). It will only be out of commission for a couple of days though.

Congrats and have a great time!!!!
