I have looked at several sights to find the drinking age for the US Virgin Islands. One sight will say 21 while the other will say 18.... so i guess i am placing this question out there for those who either live there or have visited... which is it 21 or 18?
thanks for the help!

If law makers would just set the drinking age lower and set DUI charges higher we wouldn't have so many drunk driving accidents. Take Ireland for example. Land of beer and yet they have no drunk driving problems? Why? Because if you do drive drunk you loose your licence for good. That's what we need to do here in the states. I'm reading these posts and you guys are ragging on teenagers. They aren't the only ones that cause drunk driving accidents. Drive safely. :]

Personally, I have always adovcated for the age 19

At 18 you still have some finishing up high school.

I also support 19 the age to be drafted and 19 for the right to vote

The current system is insane.

Never forget the fate of Natalee Holloway in Aruba....don't let your kids drink because a good time goes down hill to a bad time very fast!!!

Natalee has never been found!

Uh, I'm 18 and I'm at the end of my first year of college.. Not "finishing up high school" Natalee Holloway was 18, an ADULT who knew what she was doing. Not all 18 year olds are as irresponsible as everyone makes them out to be. Since you only ever hear of the ones who mess up, you all would like to assume we are all that way. Is an 18-20 year old really more likely to drink and drive than a 21 year old, or a 40 year old for that matter? It's also better to teach your children to drink responsibly and moderately rather than telling them "don't drink", then they'll want to do it more. Teaching abstinence only programs.

I'm a 38 year old male, Brittany. Not for nothing , but there are more viable "victims " than me. Noone is saying that you shouldn't be trusted to yourself on vacation, as you are at college, but I'd personally be a nervous wreck about my children in a different place/ vacation... It wouldn't be you that I'd have the trust issue with, but the scumbags looking for something to take from someone else. It can happen to anyone anywhere, but in some tourist "hot-spots", some low-lifes make a living at it. I wish it wasn't true, but it is. I hope I'm not sounding as if I'm talking down to you, I just prefer to keep my guard up against bad news situations. It's (obviously) the last thing I think in the VI's, but better safe than sorry.
