*we will be in the port of St. Thomas on Easter Sunday. Will all the shops be open that day? Liquor stores, too?

Hello,

Sunday hours for stores are usually half day in town-Charlotte Amalie and full day in Havensight.

If there are ships docked in Havensight the stores there will be open regular hours, all day even though its a holiday. Town stores will likely observe the usual Sunday hours of half day, closing at 1pm or there about, some may close.

I don't remember the liquor rule for Easter here - I will have to double check.

many thanks Islander. Also, last time we visited we enjoyed Magan's Bay. This time we want to spend time at Coki Beach. Any advice about the fish? i.e. to feed or not to feed?

For an island that has about a bizzilion Christian churches, the real religion is money. The stores will be open.

The only day I know that liquor can't be sold (by the drink) is Good Friday- until 4 I think. The stores downtown will be open until 1 or 2.

Hello Mimita,

There are quite a number of fish at Coki Beach and because they are used to getting fed and there are others who are feeding them usually simutaneously while you are snorkeling you don't have to buy food - go out and snorkel without food then go on shore and relax, if you think you would like to feed the fish get some food and snorkel for another little bit. (Make sure you put on lots of sunblock on your back and the back of your legs or better yet wear a t-shirt and sunscreen on the legs - they get burnt amazingly quickly while snorkeling.
