Taxi's and ferry rates are very reasonable. Listed on this site under the tab of St John under Taxi Rates and Transportation is information for taxi rates, and Ferry rates/schedules. Taxi's are readily available at the airport, most are Taxi Vans, which take more than one party to the ferry docks. It all goes pretty smoothly and of course there are always friendly people available to help.

Hello,

The airport is on St. Thomas. Depending on which ferry you take the time will differ a little; their schedules differ so make sure to look at that when deciding which you want to take.

Charlotte Amalie Ferry - figure 10-12 minute drive to the ferry area from the airport and then 45 minutes for the ferry ride to St. John.

Red Hook - figure 30-35 minute drive to the ferry area and then 15 minutes for the ferry ride.

Add time for waiting for the ferry if need be.
