Hi,

There is a service that now offers local and sustainable food on St. Croix, and it's soon expanding to the other Virgin Islands. It's VI.LocallyGrown.net !

There are seasonal fruits, vegetables, baked goods, massages, workshops, and much more. You have to become a member, make orders from Sunday to Tuesday, and pick them up in Frederiksted on Wednesdays. They are expanding to Christiansted soon, and then on to St. Thomas in the near future...

check it out and support local farmers, local food, and local crafts!

If these are the folks I bought tomatoes from at the Farmers Market in YHG a month or so ago ... well, it was the first time the tomatoes actually tasted like tomatoes in a long time.
