DoubleHeader, which operates out of Sapphire Marina, is, hands down, the most prolific charter...you WILL catch fish!

I second what Marty say the only one I will use. Let them decide what you will fish for and you will leave with sore arms.

Medic you can google them... This trip will not be as you like to spell "cheep" This trip will cost you no less than $1000 w/ tip. I say this because Jonathan the owner and I have been friends for 20 years and that's what he charges me. If you look for something cheap you may find it??? I don't know? I personally don't want to be out at the North Drop on the cheap ... Have caught way to many tuna heads, yes only the head, you figure it out. But if you want to catch fish on safe fast boats w/ the best captains in the VI, do yourself a favor. Pony up the money and enjoy some fresh Wahoo and Tuna for your stay.

Waterguy - is there any real likelihood of combining a trip with others? I've got 3 guys who I'm sure would like to do a half day, but frankly don't want to pony-up $200 each (plus tip for captain). I guess we could just check with them when we get close or on-island to see if they have any other group looking to combine a trip.

Have you ever done this?

Jonathan can usually find people to share, just give him enough lead time...or you can use this board and put it together that way...a half day is usually a Tuna trip...if ya want a sailfish or marlin, then the North Drop is usually the best, and that's a full-day...

Half Day would be perfect for us - probably looking for Tuna or Mahi Mahi. Thanks - I'll see the the guys want to put something together and go from there.

I've gone fishing with Capt. Gene on the Reel Therapy twice and can wholeheartedly recommend him as well. I just checked his site the other day and I believe his rate is $500 for a half day - which is what I booked him for on both occasions.

You can find some information on the St. Thomas Activities - Fishing page of this site. On that page there are a couple links to Regulations and also to a Fishing Guide with a brief run down on what you might expect to catch and some other information.
