My husband and I would like to do a fishing charter but it's too expensive to charter the boat by ourselves. Does anyone have any ideas?

Ask the charter fishing company to see if they can book other people to share your day.

see this link: https://www.vinow.com/stthomas/SandL/fishing.php

You can also call Neptune Fishing (340-775-0115) in Red Hook (minutes from Sapphire) and ask for their recommendations on a fishing charter company to book with and then ask them to find a couple to share, post on Craig's List. Here's another link: http://www.visitstthomas.com/fishing2.html

DoubleHeader and Abigail III are both highly reputable fishing charters which run out of Sapphire so check with them both.

Thanks everyone for your help. Does anyone know anything about pocket yachts? They seem to be the cheapest.

Huge difference in the professional fishermen and outfitted boats like Abigail or Double Header compared to the rentals offered by Pocket Yachts. If catching fish is the object - go with the pros who do it for a living every day, who carry quality equipment and maintain their boats that are designed to fish. Not really a fair comparison at all.

Agree with Exit Zero.
You get what you pay for. If you wish a quality experience then don't go cheap.
