Would like to meet the islanders and visitors.

Cool - a sticky.

So, what's the deal with getting up there? Do we have to use the Tram? I think I read that you cannot drive up and park on Wednesdays.

I got official word from a very pleasant gentleman named Murray at Paridise Point. The road is open but Murray indicated the "parking can still be tricky." The tram runs until 9:00 (I believe that's when the restaurant closes also).

Hope to see everyone there!

C Urchin 😀

Okay guys, I kinda need a head count as to who will be there (thought I would warn the managment on how many).

PLUS, they have been generous enough to provide me with comps for the tram. So anyone wanting to join us for the VINOW forum get together and want to take the tram up, please post and let me know how many so I, in turn, can let them know.

Thanks

C Urchin 😀

I THINK I would like to ride the tram, though I'm not familiar with Paradise Point, I'll have a car rental,so would it be easier to park at Havensight and walk , or is there a place to park for the tram? I'll be at the happy hour, but not sure what would be easiest. I'll follow your advise.
Thanks Carla(sleeper18)

Sleeper -

I'm pretty sure they have parking down at the bottom where the tram is . . .

Anybody out there know for sure???

There is a parking down by the tram- a sm. lot on the main road AND another parking area above. To get to that parking area, you need to go up the road that goes up to the top, (you will see the parking area and it is marked)! Turn left JUST past the Budget building, you will see the Paradise Point sign.

Put me in for 2, and I plan to drive up! I have been on the tram a few times, it is nice, BUT I don't like heights!

Mibarb, glad you are bringing your hubby!

Islander, thanks for making this a sticky and for posting it on the other forum as well! 🙂

sleeper18: If you do decide to walk up to PP from Havensight, you need to let everyone know in advance so that you can be met at the top of the mountain by a swirl of welcoming banners - and an EMT crew to treat you for exhaustion, heat stroke and dehydration. Cheers!

Hi Eagles Landed,
I have been cking the post to see if anyone was going to write and post the picture(s) we took, but then some of the attendees are visiting and won't be posting until they get home!

Jeff and I arrived at approx.6:15pm and were walking around looking lost as the only person that I could identify was Bluwater! Soon we were approached by a couple of people from VINOW! They too, had no idea who was who! Blu hadn't showed up yet, so I called her and she was on her way. Since the music was SO loud and lots of people there, we decided to go upstairs to sit (music still too loud). Blu showed up with Gabby, 1 more person from VINOW (our guru, tech guy) with his girlfriend (I believe), and Coconuts (something, please forgive me) who works at Paradise Point with her boyfriend at the Pirate store also showed! We chatted awhile when someone mentioned that they thought they had seen Anna from "Toad and Tart" down stairs so we sent Blu off to ck and see since she knew what Anna looked like!
Sure enough Blu came back and there was a small group of people down below with a good place to sit, so we relocated! C Urchin and friend, Anna, mibarb and honey were there! Finally, all together! Was nice to see actual faces to the names and we enjoyed each others company! I believe we have decided that NEXT time, we will go to a quieter place (maybe Toad and Tart), so we can hear each other think! Took a few pictures and not sure who's camera was who's, so I am guessing that someone will get the pictures or at least one picture posted! We were introduced to a new wine, both white and red, called Caribbean Vineyards. Being that I am not a wine drinker, I will have to leave the review on that to someone else! Bushwhacker's for me! lol! We also decided that VINOW has to sell t-shirts or polo shirts to us! VINOW, if you do T's, come up with something catchy! This way we can identify each other as well!
I did not post names, didn't know if I should. Will leave this up to others to decide! Jeff and I really enjoyed getting to meet the others and we had fun! Was our first time ever going up to Paradise Point on a Wednesday night and wow, what a happening place! 🙂
Looking forward to what others have to say! 🙂
