Guys,

What is the best balcony table on STJ by which to view the STJ fireworks on 7/4? I have always viewed the fireworks from STT, so I have no idea where they shoot from on STJ. Is Zozo's any good?

If you're a good girl you can watch them with us.....a view from Gallows. A better view than zozo's at the point looking right into the bay.

Hey all,
Me and my friend will be staying on St.John for a month leaving next weds!! Wea re really looking forward to Carnival and especially 4th July as we have never been near the States for any celebrations. We are wondering where is the best place to see the fireworks, if we just head from or house down towards Cruz Bay will we get a good enough view? is it really packed down near Cruz Bay for them?

Im so upset I wont be on STJ for July 4th. The fireworks 2 years ago were awesome. We walked down to Gallows point, and sat on the swing at the gazebo and that was our best view.

I, too, will be staying on ST. Thomas over July 4 and thought the fireworks on St. John would be fun.

How crowded is it? If we took the passenger ferry (and left the rental car on STT), would we be within walking distance of the dock for a good place to watch? Will it be a total zoo getting back to STT afterwards? Are they visible from STT? Thanks!

Did you see my bald head sitting on the retaining wall while you were swinging.

One of the issues with Gallows is for that evening they do put an earlier than usual security guy at the front entrance and close of the side entry point. This way they limit those entering the property.

Rest assured Blu that you and your brood won't have a problem.

Yes, you'll be within walking distance to everything.

Ferries run off their normal schedule to accomodate the crowds. Boat filled, boat moves. So you won't have any problem getting back.

I would suggest spending the day. The parade. Nibbling food from the numerous stands in the village and at 9.00 the fireworks.

Make a whole day of it.
