My fiance and are are heading down to St. John for our honeymoon in a little over two weeks, and not having been to the island before, we are curious if there are road-side stands or something similar where we can buy fresh fruit on the island.

I feel somewhat embarrassed to ask the question, but being native New Englanders, this is the time of year where farmers markets begin to pop up in our area around Boston, so I'm curious if any of the locals have recommendations.

Many thanks,

Evan

Is natures nook back open yet they were located not to far from the ferrry. Hopefuly some of our locales can chime in. Josphines out in coral bay has great salad mixes and some fruit. Alot of the villas have fruit trees on the property so check if yours does and eat up.

The mangos are coming in!! Coral Bay Garden Center/ Josephines is the best place to go. I have not seen anything about Natures Nook being open again.

Cheers, RickG

Hooray! Natures IS open again! They opened this week for the first time in months. Also look near Natures for fresh fish, the guys often sell it out of their fishing coolers right next to Natures Stand.

Hey- Where is Nature's Nook located? Sounds like we may want to go there to get some produce when we get on island in two weeks...
Thanks-
Sherb

Yea, Nature's Nook is back!!! They are on the very beginning of North Shore Road near the Centerline Road intersection right about at the center of this map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=st.+john+usvi&ie=UTF8&ll=18.331658,-64.793833&spn=0.003116,0.0042&t=h&z=18

I just want to thank everyone for the recommendations and help. We'll be down on STJ in one week and your advice should come in handy while we enjoy our honeymoon.

Best,

Evan

tampaguy is on to sometthing! I can't remember the name of the place, but there's a small outdoor cafe right next to the smoothie place that has great breakfasts. Can anyone remember the name?

I know what you're talking about. I send people there all the time (I live on STT). It's right behind High Tide Restaurant, facing away from the ocean. They have great local food and great breakfasts!
