Just wondering what the current price per gallon is, ppg here in Northwest Indiana has been dropping like a rock...$2.96 the other day. Did Omar disrupt production on STX?

See you in a week :@)

Hess apparently hasn't been able to continue to reduce their price on an immediate basis because of damage from Omar but their prices WERE reduced as oil prices went down recently and there has been a reduction in gas prices throughout the territory over the last two weeks or so but certainly not as much as you're seeing in Northwest Indiana. All three major islands (STT.STX and STJ) don't entail major travel mileage where visitors are concerned and I don't recall that it's ever been an issue. I would say around 3.75/gall right now for regular?

Someone else help this poster out!

Hey On Island Time - we are also from NW Indiana and our first trip is scheduled November 4th to St Thomas! We are staying at Sapphire Beach. Was wondering about your flight. Do you normally fly from Midway or OHare? We are out of Midway on Delta.

Yvonneindiana,

What part of NWI do you live in? We're in Schererville.
We fly out of O'Hare to STT on American, we've flown on United, Delta, US Air and for the past 4-5 years AA has had the best fare, this year we paid $260ea (w/o tax). I'd love to fly out of Midway but haven't found good fairs....keep hoping for a good airline would start flying out of Gary (yeah right) in our dreams 🙁

We'll be on STT from 10/25....11/8 and staying at the Elysian, maybe we can try to meet somewhere in Red Hook.

STTRes, Cynthiad....thanks for the gas price update.

We are from Crown Point. We will be there 11/4 to 11/14. We are staying at Sapphire Beach. We are out of Midway on Delta with plane change in Atlanta. Sure hope our checked luggage arrives with us! At the time I booked, air fare was going up fast. We got 2 rd trip tickets for $790 when they had previously been just under $600. Be fun to meet in Red Hook as that looks like the place we will be hanging out in the evening!

Tho I have seen the cheepest price for STT as being the $4.27 mentioned, we are also seeing much higher than that. I also am not seeing our prices go down as you all are in the states. Doesn't seem right to me. Thought about taking a picture of our prices and sending them to I Report, but won't waste my time. Wonder how our prices are regulated. It's a true shame.
