Hello James,

I don't know of any strickly gay clubs on St. Thomas. There are no strickly anything clubs here for the most part - everyone pretty much goes to the same places. There are some special "parties" that are hosted at various clubs by an association - not sure where you get details on where and when though.

Gay friendly accomodations on St. Croix: I think Cormondant Beach Hotel (last time I was over on St. Croix I believe it was being renovated so not sure its open right now), you could look at http://www.purpleroofs.com/sandcastle-usvi.html

On St. Thomas if you are coming with a partner and want privacy you could try Pools and Pavillions.

I'm from New Orleans and here we have gay clubs everywhere and so many gay couples live here that it's become a way of live that almost everyone accepts here. That is just the opposite there. I'm not a homosexual but you are probably going to have a very hard time finding similar interests there. Your only option probably would be seclusion there. If you want to have fun and be yourself, trust come to New Orleans for Carnival!

In St Croix, you'll find the Cormorant Beach Club

http://www.cormorantbeachclub.com/

which is probably the largest gay resort in the Islands. The bar/pool/restaurant are excellent. The beach is beautiful. Very friendly, excellent service and nice people. The rooms are, ahem, a bit theadbare. If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton, this is not it. If you're looking for fantastic views, loads of nice people, a hopping bar scene and a good restaurant, then you've found it.

Also in St Croix, Sand Castle on the Beach

Smaller than the Cormorant, but very nice. Haven't seen the rooms, but the outdoor cafe is excellent, the beach is superb, and the pool is active. Nice people, Fredricksted location.

Not a gay hotel, but a great hotel owned by two great gay guys, the Pink Fancy.

David and Motassem will take great care of you. Highly recommended.

Hope this helps!

I disagree with Fred's assumption that the islands are not gay-friendly. Here on St. Croix nightlife of every type is a little limited (or I haven't found the right places!) From everything I've seen, gay couples here are treated fine. Not being gay myself, I can't speak about any strictly gay bars/clubs/activities, but when I go out at night to restaurants and bars I certainly see people who I assume are gay having a good time, just like me.

Maybe someone with more personal experience can chime in.

I too disagree. St. Thomas has so many gays people hardly bat an eye at them!
There is a new piano bar on Main Street that seems to be the headquarters at this time. It's called Tommy's.
