Hi
After all spring had to wait until June 30th for my husband contract to be renew but now it isn't until October 30th . They can't make up their minds good ole government. And before you say boy the government pays their contractors good money. He worked with Federal govt 33 yrs of hard work little pay & work 24/7 after 9-11( and no it wasn't their fault for 9-11 but the idiots who did it) But he is retired but went to a job in contracting a job he loves & fulfilled his goals of tracking down the ones for 9-11.He has traveled with no combat pay, still had to pay taxes on his paycheck serving in a war zones. Still he goes, as he is s dedicated to his job. But that another story. He told me to find another vacation in September so we are going to yes Disney World another "heaven" to me. Every time he had to go out of country I would say I will go to St Thomas not fair for him to have all the "fun" I wanted to go in July but he had to go out of country yet again. Last trip was to Libya 4 nights & his hotel was facing the ocean & had to rub it in that it reminded him of St Thomas, what nerve lol. He came home only to have his luggage left in Milan where he caught the last leg. I told him it served him right for not letting me come though I wouldn't have be able to. I asked if we could do a cruise(Disney) at end of September & he said price it well too much. I didn't want the 3 or 4 nights no St Thomas stops lol. I had a ticket from US AIR from last year & I priced out a room at Morningstar part of Frenchman's Reef & it included breakfast for 4 nights (yes too short but better than nothing) & air for me would be only $68 plus his fare in all it came to under $500 rt for both us.Not to bad ,better priced wise than the cruise. I know I have to pay for dinner but we are going. Going October 8th to the 12th. I realize hurricane could hit or rain but it is better than staying at home lol. Really going for the rest & trying to get rid of all the stress from the year we had. Losing our cat in June was a bitter loss for me as well for hubby. Had her for 12 years she was not just a pet but a member of our family. I know you must think I am nuts but she was very special to us & it was hard to put her down but couldn't bare to watch her suffer. Didn't want that for her after watching my Mother suffer with cancer as well as my Dad. The Vet did say it was for the best as she gotten more lumps & suffered a stroke the week we took her in. Sorry I am rambling. But I am happy to being going back to my piece of heaven soon. I guess we will have to do with the weather but it will be okay. Be happy to see my friends again who had been after me to come down alone but hubby didn't want me to stay with them even though he met them & liked them he felt it would be taking advantage of them. Which in a way it would because they couldn't stand my weird hours lol

Hey Barb. enjoy your much-needed vacation - you got a great deal! Also, the hurricane season is all but over in October:

Remember the rhyme:

September - Remember
October - All Over!

It should be all over by then - have fun!
