Hello, I was wondering if someone can tell me where the ferry from St. Thomas to Jost Van Dyke drops passengers off? We would like to take the ferry over to JVD and get to Soggy Dollar Bar to spend the day. Can you walk to Soggy Dollar from where the ferry lets you off? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Drops you off at the base of the hill with the soggy dollar on the other side of the hill
You can walk and I have in my younger day with time to kill
If you are ready to party and play on the beach - a few bucks for a cab is the way to go.
definitley on the way back

It's hot and there's a big hill, plus your time is limited on Jost. It's only a few bucks for a cab, and they'll be waiting at the ferry dock. (They'll leave when it clears out, so best to connect with them right when you get off the boat.)

See if Greg is available to take you. He's got a "tricked-out" Bronco/Blazer. He's a really nice guy. Be sure to ask him about the German Documentary featuring him as a young man on the island - he's got a DVD player in his "taxi" and it's pretty neat to see him climbing coconut trees for this film crew.

Good Luck! Have Fun!
