Is there a good restaurant to go to in the evenings to hear some local caribbean music. When we were in Tortolla, we heard a guy named MJ Blues sing and even now when I hear one of the songs he sang on the radio it brings back such good memories.

Hello Denise,

Bill Bass plays steel pan music at various restaurants. On his website it says: Rum Runners Restaurant (Sun Brunch) 10:30am, Terrace at the Buccaneer (Sun) 8:30pm and Chenay Bay Beach Resort (Thurs) 6:30pm.

There is a monthly Jazz at Sunset concert in Frederiksted.

Eddie Russell, live jazz music every Saturday night at Cormorant Beach Club. 340.778.8920

The West Indian Style Beach BBQ at Hotel on the Cay includes live steel pan and other entertainment. Thats on Tuesday evenings.

And Divi Carina Bay I believe does a Beach BBQ also, but on Thursday evenings.

Oh---I love his CD's. I wish he would come and play at STT restaurants. STT needs more steel pan music like in the past.
