Hi,
I've read some great posts about grocery stores in STX but I'm wondering where they are located in relation to Chenay Bay. On our arrival day, I'd like to stop at the store to pick up some food items before we get to the hotel. Thanks for the info.

When you come from the airport on 66 you will come to the intersection at Sunny Isle Shopping Center, now the road is 70-just past there on the left is the Plaza Extra [my #2 grocery], then a little further on the left is Cost-U-Less [my # 1 grocery].

If your really just looking for some essentials like beer - rum - pop - snacks - milk, to get you through a day or two there is a small grocery store in gallows bay.
It's in a little shopping center in beteween a laundry mat and Sharkeys bar and restaraunt
It's located about 2 to 3 miles east of downtown Christiansted & about 3 miles before Cheney Bay Resort - and just like your resort it's directly on the main east end road - (that's the same road coming out of downtown - sorry but the route # escapes me)
They also have a deli and bakery.
If your anxious to get to your resort, this might work best for you, but if your wanting to load up and save a few dabloons, Judi gave you two good stores

If you're using a taxi, negotiate with the driver BEFORE you get into the cab at the airport. He'll be happy to stop at the store on the way to Chenay and wait for you -- of course there will be an extra fee.

Ane the small store east of C'sted is Schooner Bay Grocery. Wonderful deli and bakery. Good liquor and wine selection. And all the groceries you'll need. Higher than Plaza Extra.

If you are arriving late and hungry and you stop at Schooner Bay Grocery, they have great plate lunches there. You can get them hot or pre-prepared as meals to go and heat them up later. Very reasonable.

Don't forget the two for one night at Chenay on Tuesday (I think its Tuesday) and the pig roast on Saturdays.
