Returning to my favorite island again this year...I should just buy a place on STT.
Can anyone give me info on where and when to buy good fruit and veggies?
I don't know if they arrive on the island on certain days or what.
Last year we couldn't find any good produce.
Thanks

Good days to shop for fruits and veggies are Monday and Tuesday. Trailers are off loaded on Sundays!

Try the Fruit owl first then Pueblo in long bay.

We were on STT in January and were happy with Food Center on the way to Red Hook. Produce was very fresh and reasonably priced.

We arrive February 28 for 8 days and re staying at Bluebeard's Beach Club. They have a charcoal pit that guests can use. Looking for recommendation where we can purchase beef, pork, or chicken. Thanks,

Pueblo, Cost-u-less, Pricesmart, Plaza extra, Marina Market -- all have produce and meats.

Consider packing a small soft sided cooler with frozen meats. The selection on island is less quality and more expensive than what is available state side.

You can find excellent quality meats and produce on island - if you are traveling with a larger group it may be worth it to bring frozen meats - but for 2-4 people the cost and availabilty here would not be worth the monetary or quality difference for beef, pork, chicken, lamb or cold cuts. Marina Market, Cost-u-less and Plaza extra will all have a wide enough selection that will satisfy all but the most exacting shopper. If you Must have an extremely particular item you should probably bring it though.
