I know its been covered before and I tried searching but didn't find much on it. Were are the stores on St John for Groceries and what are they called. Any price comparisons and selection info would also be appreciated. Is it worth it to ride the ferry back to Red Hook and shop there? Is there a provisioning service available?

Thanks,
Jay

From a newbie who just came back from her 1st trip, I say No, it is not worth taking the ferry over to Red Hook from STJ just to grocery shop. In fact, I will never haul another morsel with me. Except the organic cereal that I like. That is the only thing I did not see there. I did see other organic cereals but not the one that I eat.

Between the stores: Starfish Mkt, Dolphin Mkt and Love City, you can purchase anything that you want. Be it regular food or organic.

Also, if staying in a villa or condo, I would wait and see what is in the cabinets before heading to the store. We left a lot of stuff, as had previous renters.

Enjoy!!
