We love the Roti at Fungi on the Beach, but we heard they closed last fall. Are they re-opened? If not where can we find a great plate of Chicken Roti? (tu)

it's now the new location for "jack's wings", which had been in the tillett's garden. jack's is a favorite of mine.

they were certainly a fun and tasty way to go!!! not sure if they are opening up anywhere else, but they are missed.

as for the roti, there is a place downtown bottom of bunker hill that makes excellent authentic roti... ideal restaurant on garden street. read @Work: Ideal Restaurant in the st. thomas source: http://stthomassource.com/content/business/st-thomas-business/2005/07/12/work-ideal-restaurant

There are already some reviews around for the new place but just a heads up that it's now called, "Jack's Bight". I don't think their website is up yet. Cheers!

Agree with Anita - Ideal Roti is authentic and very good. Other great options for great chicken roti is P&P on St John (just go past Gallows Point on the right then down the hill to Frank Bay - Coconut studios on the left, then up the hill towards the left - very casual and authentic - overlooks where the car barge comes in), or if on JVD, then Foxy's also has an excellent chicken roti. Enjoy!

Yes, Fungi's is now Jack's Bight (formerly Jack's from Tillet Garden).

They are open daily for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner......Brunch on Sundays.....and entertainment on Thursdays & Sundays.

For Roti, it's not a short trip, but both Foxy's and Soggy Dollar on JVD have excellent Roti. The Roti at Fungis was great, we had it March '11 and when we were down this past Feb all my wife wanted was that Roti. Since Jack's Bight doesn't have it, we got ours at Soggy. If anyone knows of other places on STT with great Roti, I'd love to know as well.

That said, Jack's Bight has excellent food and drink specials every day, it's must for lunch or dinner if on STT, especially being right on the water. So many great meals there. Not sure about a website, but you can find them on Facebook and follow them as they post their specials daily.

Keep me posted for places on STT with Roti. Thanks.
