My husband and I booked Gibney Beach House from May 19 thru May 28. To be blunt, he has asked for a Divorce and there is no way I can go without him as I think I'd be a mess the whole time. Please, please if anyone is interested staying at the beach house during this time please contact me!

Email both addresses: [email protected]
and [email protected]

or call my cell (773) 910-2700

Thanks to anyone that may be able to help!

Sorry to hear about the divorce and unfortunately, we can't help you out on the Cottage. However, STJ and its beaches are a great way to cleanse the soul and re-adjust. If you are going to take the hit anyway, I suggest taking the trip and adding it to the negotiations (if it comes to that).

Well Bridget, sorry to hear about the split. Life is hard sometimes. But it's definitely true what "Chris @ Work' said about cleansing the soul. Nothing healed me like the ocean in all the time I spent in Hawaii, no matter what happens, to be held so lovingly by the Earth always makes us feel at peace.

I actually just went through some bad times myself, which I won't get into, but I booked a trip to St. John alone, for this very purpose. I would strongly suggest you go too. But everyone is different in what they need to feel better.

And if you do go, maybe we both could use some non-obligating, no-expectations company.

Either way, I hope you feel better. I know I will, places like that can't help but rejuvenate.

S.

Bridget,

Concur with other posts

I cannot think of a better place in the words of Van Morrison to "let the healing begin"

My recommendation - call your old college roomate(s), high school friend(s) or your best friend and restablish the new you - drawing from their strength.

Paradise awaits - and healing I am sure is required

Blue water and Sunshine is a good thing!

So sorry for the heartache you are going through now but what better way to say you know what? You didn't break me, I'm going to be ok. Matter of fact I'm better than ok? Oooooooh, wouldn't that just steam!

Bridget, can you provide info on the Gibney Beach House? Is there a web site to review the house and what it offers?

Thanks to everyone for all of your replies. They are filled with inspiration and support. I wish I could find a way to go but financially it is impossible. I am relocating within the next two months and need to find a new home and a new job. Hopefully, when this is over and I am settled I can go back refreshed and ready for new memories.
