I hope someone can help me. I am sailing on Royal Caribbeans Mariner of the Sea and one of the shore excursions lists a "Caribbean Sail to Christmas & Honeymoon Cove" aboard the schooner "Bones". What I am trying to find out is does this ship leave from the cruise dock or do we have to be transported to Red Hook or another spot. I am trying to find out if this is walking distance from the cruise ship or a bus ride?

Sounds like a crazy question, but I need to know.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Debbie

Hi Debbie -

I Googled "Bones" and came up with this website http://www.bonesusvi.com/ Hope it helps! It sails from the cruise ship dock. Here's the phone # if you want to call: Contact Information: Bert 340-344-6812 or 340-775-2676. I've talked to Bert and he's a very nice guy!

I went out on one of Bert's other boats, The Dancing Dolphin, last year and had a really fun time! I know you'll have a good time, too! 🙂

Hi - "bones" is walking distance from the ship and our best excursion off the ship! (Adventure of the Seas - February 03 -10 /08). If the seas are rough, don't forget your sea sickness medication. Their website will be launched shortly. Wish I was heading back!

I don't know for sure if Bones goes to Honeymoon Beach on every excursion but while on Water Island/Honeymoon Beach I've noticed several days a week where Bones comes around the point and anchors near Honeymoon Beach. Bones' passengers can either dinghy in to shore or they have snorkle vest floats or noodles and/or do the short swim unaided to go ashore. Heidi (Heidi's Honeymoon Grill) has ceasar salad and chicken and ribs ready and waiting for them when they get to shore. Most of the passengers have temporary Bones tatoos on them and they're laughing and seem to be having a great time. I've talked to some of the passengers that have come ashore and they've all given great praise to the trip/excursion. If that's any indication, you will have a great time!
