Ok, I think I have narrowed down some villas in our price range. Any knowledge or opinions would be greatly appreciated and welcomed. This vacation is for 2 adults for 1 week. The villas are: Molly's Cottage, Jolly Diversion, Christmas Winds and Eureka... I need a villa with a deck overhang for my husband as he needs to stay out of the sun as much as possible but still be able to enjoy his coffee and dinner on the deck. Air conditioning would be nice but will settle for a fan if needed. Thanks in advance...

What month are you shooting for? If it is summer time a little evelation with the winds can make it a much nicer experience.
Not sure - some one else can confirm, but I think there is a lot of construction around Molly's Cottage right now. Some one else may be able to confirm.

Well, actually we will be visiting possible this July or next March would be the next time we could get away. I heard about Molly's Cottage and the construction. The other villas I wrote about I don't know where they are as for the elevation. Oh how I wish I paid more attention last time we were there.

We have stayed at Luna Vista which seems to meet your requirements. $1150 off season weekly rate.

It's high up off of Centerline near Chateau Bordeaux. Cool breezes, air conditioning if needed. The rental is the bottom floor in the picture on the website. We were quite comfortable there for a week.

My wife and I stayed at Balance in Fish Bay in November. It is fabulous! How many in your party? Balance is a 2 BR with deck, pool, outdoor showers, and it is pretty high up so the views and breezes should be perfect. Each BR has a/c, but the rest of the house is cooled by celing fans.

Yeah, I just started looking about 3 weeks ago. When I think I have seen them all there's always 1 I missed. I'am just a little hesitant on pin pointing one and then I find another in my price range. Im hoping but not holding my breath that with the economy that some villa owners may lower there rate just a little. But again I doubt it. It would sure help me some but I will just keep looking until I find the right one I can afford.

I don't know your budget, but we love Star Villas (www.starvillas.com) in Cruz Bay. I just looked at their site and it looks like at least one of their rooms (Frangipani) has a covered deck overlooking the water. Don't know the others you mentioned, sorry. Good luck, I hope you find your dream spot!

I looked at a few of the places you were considering for your upcoming trip to St. John & think you should check out the BAY VIEW villa. It is on the quiet side of the island, near Coral Bay. We stayed there in the fall of last year & we LOVED! it. The location, the size! the pool, the view all are awesome. We are planning our return trip for this fall & plan on staying there again.
Hope I was if any help. I have lots of photos of the place if you want, I could email you some.

I took a look at Bay View and yes indeed it is beautiful and the views are to die for. But it is out of our price range even in the slow season. I hope you have a wonderful trip.
