So, as I mentioned in an earlier post, we have stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort approx. 7 years ago but I am very discouraged by the recent negative reviews posted. If we decide to change resorts, where do you recommend? We would like to stay on STT and we enjoy staying very close to the water. The beach is very important but also having an on sight restaurant would be really nice plus a kitchenette. Cost does factor in...I just don't see the Ritz in our future. We will be traveling with 16 year old daughter and her 17 year old boyfriend...his very first vacation. 🙂
Thanks for all your help!

There is nought to compare with Sapphire but if you're reading some negatives posted by people who have either (a) rented from the management company, Antillles Resorts or (b) visitors who've been turned off by the fact that the onsite restaurant/bars are closed down because of an ongoing management dispute, then that might be a turnoff.

You can research both this forum and others to determine if Sapphire is for you. The units at Sapphire (those either directly rented through Antilles Resorts or via private owners at www.vrbo.com) are all equipped with kitchens.

Frankly I wouldn't be turned off Sapphire and researching this forum for posts on what's going on there will probably assuage your fears.

You could also check out Secret Harbour. Also Crystal Cove which shares the Sapphire Beach. Cheers!

Try the Point Pleasant Resort (340) 775-7200.

Two restaurants with bars (Agave & Fungi's), all units have fully equipped kitchens. They have a small beach, but a better one is right across the beach and road to Coki Beach (our favorite). Plus 3 swimming pools and tennis courts, a nature trail, small exercise room, activities desk (to book excursions, etc.) and it's next door to the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort.

Also, it's right up the road from Sapphire Beach.

As with all locations it's highly recommended that you rent a car.

I rent my 2 bedroom unit at Crystal Cove. It has everyting you will need in 1300 square feet of space that can sleep 7.
If you are intersted PM me.
