I've been doing some reading about beaches in preparation for our stay on St. Thomas and I've found a lot of conflicting information about "Honeymoon Beach." It's supposed to be one of the most pristine beaches, but some sites have claimed it's on St. John and others say it's on Water Island. I think I've come to the conclusion that there is a Honeymoon Beach on both islands, but can anyone advise me as to which one is the must-see?

Thanks!

Hi Alyssa,

There are two; one on St. John and one on Water Island. As for which is a must see... well that's a matter of opinion :).

We happen to have a video on the site for both so that might help you make up your mind to go to one, or the other, or both!

Honeymoon on Water Island is a beautiful beach, just a short walk from the ferry landing area. There is usually a food van set up and a small bar - and that's about it. Well there is a restroom too and 2 covered shed areas. Its typically quiet, a few excursions from St. Thomas might stop by for a couple hours, otherwise its usually say a dozen or less people hanging out.

Honeymoon on St. John, also beautiful beach, short hike from Cruz Bay or you can start at Caneel Bay too. No amenities as far as food/drink. Pretty sure there is a port-a-john. Good snorkeling between Honeymoon and Saloman, around the little point area. Its typically quiet, some boat charters do stop by, but usually also a dozen or so people.

So both are beautiful and typically quiet.
