Hi,
I will be coming to STT for my honeymoon and want to do some romantic things with my fiancee. Any ideas?

OK...1st timer. Well first let me ask you where are you going to stay? When are you going to be on Island?

SOrry I was so short with my introduction to this site. We are coming the last week of August and are staying at the Frenchmans Reef. We are in our early 30's.

Ok, I will assume you will be on island for a week. I would recommend Trunk then cinnamon bay then if you feel like being adventurous go to watermelon snorkeling on st john and for beauty as well. St Thomas, I would say coki for the snorkel thing or Megan's (just so you can say you were there). If you get a chance I would go on a trip to the baths on virgin gorda and if you are in the gotta drink and be on the best beach in the world frame of mind go to jost van dyke WHITE BAY for the day you won't regret it! Hubby and I honeymooned on St. Thomas this past September. Here are some of my recommendations. 🙂

1. Have dinner at "A room with a View" - it's very romantic.
2. Take a sunset cruise - We didn't and I always wish he had.
3. Definitely check out Coki Point - great snorkeling & there are bars on the beach.
4. Rent a jeep and drive - drive - drive.
5. Take a day sale to Virgin Gorda & Jost - have a painkiller for me at "Soggy Dollar"

You will have a fabulous time

Jen

Hubby and I always stay on St John, but our favorite thing to do romantically is to head to the Oppenheimer end of Gibney Beach and watch the daylight dwindle. We are usually the only people there, especially when it gets later, and we just set our chairs halfway in the water so that when we sit we can feel the water roll up over our feet.

Am I the only one who is thinking that a bride and groom shouldn't need any help from this board to come up with romantic ideas? LOL 😉

Leave your routines at home, do whatever you want -- it's all beautiful, especially VI National Park -- and like the previous poster said, "Drive, drive, drive." Driving a lot allows you to see the island on your own terms. You can stop at something that interests you, get more ideas, etc. Just plan the trip and the rest will take care of itself.

Oh, just want to add that if you find you love it down there, you will always want to go back because there is so much to do!! That's why now I try not to plan too much. I just enjoy where the day takes me, instead of worrying about what to do next. In time, you will see a lot, because you will always want to go back and do more.

East Ender asked: Am I the only one who is thinking that a bride and groom shouldn't need any help from this board to come up with romantic ideas? LOL wink

My first thought was to suggest that gfsgirl find a more appropriate website for such information, but then realized they were looking for romantic suggestions for things to do OUTSIDE the room.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, gfsgirl!

But Gerie, when you are on your honeymoon isn't EVERYTHING romantic?
