Okay, I know this sounds strange, where on St John would be the place to order Hordevours, like chicken wings, cheeses, whatever else in bulk for a party? In December. I'm checking for a friend.

I'll be down in 10 days, so I thought I may look around to get a menu or such from a couple of businesses for my friend.

The term you're looking for is "hors d'oeuvre" but down here there called "appetizers" at all but the swankiest restaurants (and those places don't tend to do chicken wings.)

Another idea: Cost-U-Less has all sorts of frozen goodies- chicken wings and tenders, little egg rolls, mini-quiches, etc. if they feel like doing their own nuking!

Thanks, my friends. It's an upscale party, so Starfish sounds like the one. I just threw in the chicken wings, I'm sure that whatever Starfish could do would be appropriate.

Thanks again,
9 days to go!!

If I were doing upscale (which I never do), I'd get one of those private catering outfits to come to my villa and do it for me. Expensive, but a lot easier than getting cheese trays up Jacob's Ladder in the back of a Jeep. 😀

Hi - i'd recommend contacting an on-island catering company to see what they could put together. For our STJ wedding we used East West Catering and couldn't have been happier. We had them do heavy hors d'oeuvres pacific rim/asian-fusion style.

You could also give Colleen a call. She is at A Taste of the Tropics and her number is 340.513.4505 or 340.777.8801. She does catering, or provisioning. I'm sure she could find you just what you need!

Check out the Provisioning/Catering page on this site. The folks listed should be able to help.
