Hotel 1829 - Have you stayed recently?

Has anyone stayed at Hotel 1829 in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas recently? What did you think of their superior rooms with a harbor view? I'm a little worried that the rooms will be dark and spooky? Thank you.

I haven't stayed recently - last time was 2004 for Carnival and it was very nice. Rooms were large and not at all spooky. Lots of steps and convenient to town. I enjoyed myself.

You could check out www.tripadvisor.com also. They have a lot of review on that hotel.
