I don't mind humidity that much I'll definitely take it over rain. I was looking at the ten day extended forcast and see that every day even when rain is forcasted it says humid. I'm just trying to figure out how hot it acutally gets. It looks like it is even warm at night.

Also i see alot of talk on this board about bugs is that something we need to prepare for I wasn't even thinking about packing bug spray, is it buggy at the beach?

It's not a "stand there and drip" sort of humidity. We have a nice breeze today as usual and the sun is drying up all the rain we've recently had. Yes, we have bugs so be prepared. Mosquitoes love a burst of wet weather to proliferate while year-round you'll have sand fleas ('no see-ums') on the beach as the sun sets which can be very irritating. High/low day/night temps now are mid to high 80s to mid 70s. Cheers!

You definitely want to pack bug spray! I didn't get bitten by mosquitoes too much last year (I also didn't go right after a rain like what they've had this week), but some of the folks in our group gotten eaten alive. And the sand fleas did get me a little bit!

Humid? I told my wife that the next time I complain about the humidity in Georgia that she needs to remind me about this humidity. With all the rain at the beginning of our trip nothing is dry. It is either a little damp or wet. Even towels laid out to dry on the drying rack on the balcony 3 days ago are still damp.

Does it suck? Not a bit. The breezes are wonderful, and a dip in the sea or a jeep ride along North Beach Road (20) eases it. And of that doesn't work, sit inside in your villa, watch the day drift by under a ceiling fan.

Mosquitos? Proof that either God doesn't exist (how could God let such things live?) or proof that Devil is real and has demons in STJ. The aforementioned rains have turned any standing water into skeeter villas! They're little buggers who swarm to the smell of flesh. Avoid the trails for a few days - we've been told by the locals - and they will begin to diminish by the end of the week.

Still beats working!!

It's humid enough that you would be a fool to use a hairdryer, curling iron, or make up. BUT, it is also, humid enough to make your clothes stretch out and feel like you lost a couple of pounds 😀

Just got back a few hours ago. Wonderful trip. Beautiful island, but the entire week, my hair looked like Monica from "Friends" when they went to the Bahamas!!
Yes, take bug spray!! A minor inconvenience.
Enjoy

To not ahippie -- if the towels were used to wipe off salt water they are not likely to ever get really dry - the salt stays in the fabric and attracts moisture - T shirts or towels have to be washed in fresh water after absorbing salt.
This is not to imply that it isn't humid of late!
