Went to VI for first time August 1st-8th. Then there was the Hurricane a couple weeks after. Did it do any damage to the island?

I stayed in peterborg, and haven't heard from the owner since my trip. Do you think any damage was done to his villa? I worried about my security deposit money, maybe he is in a rut at the moment with repairs?

Any idea on how to report such a thing?

Thanks,

I hope the hurricane did not harm anyone! I will be visiting shortly thanks.

Hmm. I live on Peterborg and we didn't have any serious weather August 1-8.

I would be a little worried that you haven't recieved your security deposit back yet. Usually when you check out they return the money the next week. I would give them a call.

We had no hurricane in August-September. Some rain from tropical storm and tropical depression activity in the area but that's about it. So to answer your question, no hurricane damage. (And lets hope it stays that way!)

Ditto IAMolly's comment that you should call them about your security deposit.

Hmm, once you have used "the dog ate my homework" and "my grandmother died (three times)" you have to think up new excuses, maybe. "There was a hurricane and I lost your deposit. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!" 😉

Damage deposit a week? I doubt it. How would you know if the guests used the phone for long distance?

I've always gotten my damage deposit in a week or two, the places that I have rented usually didn't have a phone or local calls only. I think with all of the cell phones and the availability of phone cards now it really isn't neccessary. My rental property in STT does not have a phone and my rentals in Illinois only have local service.

Even our home phone only has local service. I would say the damage deposit could be returned as soon as the cleaning crew finished preparing for the next guest.

We have a phone and not restricted so we have to make sure that there are not much for long distance calls.
