I know I've seen them...and I know they've been spoken about on the forum, but does anybody know the name of the renatl company?

Pretty sure I've seen them when we've gotten off the ferry at St. John.

Would love to take it out to some beaches for the day. Have some questions for whoever has rented them.

Name of rental?

Price?

Can we basically just take them and go right up on the beach like I've seen others do at Cinnamon?

Is it fun?????

Is it safe?????

I haven't done it yet, but they're available in Cruz Bay from Noah's Little Arks. On the beach in front of The Beach Bar.

This will be a great idea for my husbands birthday when we're down there.

Thanks people!

Connie,
Please send details & suggestions when you return. This was something I wanted to do when we went in Dec. A few people mentioned it on this forum but more was written after we returned. If you search dinghy on here I am sure you can get previous info. Sounds like a great way to go to Waterlemon! Beats that walk that I dragged my husband on to get there. My only concern is getting in & out of the dinghy. I am in good shape and work out but I have read it is difficult!

Coco...i feel the same way about getting in and out of a dinghy, but I was thinking we could just beach it, and then it would be easy. Couldn't see me in 6' deep water or deeper and just hopping in there..lol He'd have to just tow me back.

If you are on the Coral Bay end of the island, Crabby's also rents dinghies (www.crabbyswatersports.com).

I don't believe Crabby's rents dinghys any longer. Something about insurance and liability.
