Years ago, (pre-Hugo) I stayed at a place called "The Point" in Water Island. It consisted of three adjoining units, which were actually ex-military block housing (but very nice!), one freestanding newer cottage, and the caretaker's/owner's cottage.

It was located very near where the ferry put in when coming from the sub base. It overlooked the beach, which I assume is Honeymoon Beach. It was an easy walk down the road to the beach.

Does anyone have any information about this place? It was very low key, each of the three units were basically apartments with kitchens and the like. No pool, or fancy stuff, although they did have two ancient jeeps for getting around should you feel the need for a vehicle.

Obviously, this goes waaay back, but perhaps some of you veterans would remember it.

Thanks a lot!

I think it's been a bit upgraded since you last stayed there.
