Don't know where to find such a listing......are these unique in some way? Shows what I don't know I guess. We've got tons of diamond sellers so surely some/all? will have them?

Any recommendations of jewelry stores with great reputations for fair prices, great quality?

You can find them at most of the jewelry stores in town but not all are the"real" thing most of them has been beam with a strong light or something like radiation to give them the blue color. There are true blue diamonds but very hard to find & very costly. The ones I saw had around $6000 tags on them but the stores were willing to let go at $1200 so they can't be the real thing so just be careful ask if they have been treated first.

You may want to visit www.carigem.org
There is info on buying jewelry in the islands as well as contact info for various stores.
I do know that Omni's currently has a line of Blue Diamonds and also Ballerina Jewelers. They are reasonably priced.

There is a store in Charlotte Amalie called Blue Diamond and their ads state that they carry them.

Onika - Does Petrus know?

Paul - the most famous Blue Diamond is the Hope Diamond. (Not sure if that will help unless you know what the Hope Diamond is :-). They are rare diamonds as you quessed.

Ok, Petrus just confirmed what BJ already stated: If you can find a real Blue Diamond it will be very expensive because they are rae. On the other hand, if you are looking for treated stones, Columbian Emeralds has them. Good luck.

If you have not already gone to the islands; I hope this will be of help to you! Don't go to any of the stores the cruise ships recommend! We found out that they get a kick back from the stores for referring clients and those stores are NOT the better stores on the islands!!! Ask the locals for the best prices!!!! We did and found out that at CHarlotte Amalie: Go to Drakes Passage and go to AJANTA Jewelers We got excellent prices and they are very very negotiable. Our purchases appraised for 3 times as much here in the states upon returning!!!

We liked them sooo well that we have continued buying from them for the last 6 years; they are just that fair!!!

Good luck and stay away from those cruise ship recommendations! It's a waste of your time! Trust me! On cruise # 1, went with the ship croud to the first store, and boy ole boy was it a rip off!!!
