Hello

We will be visiting St. John for the 2nd time in early June. Wondering if you all can help me out. We will be renting a car in St. Thomas and taking a barge to St. John. Our departure flight from St. Thomas is at 8am. Will we have enough time to make it to our flight? The earliest barge from STJ to STT is at 6 am, I'm assuming the barge ride will take about 30 mins which will put us at STT at bout 6:30am. How long will it take to get to the airport from Red Hook?

Thanks

About 30 minutes so the earliest you'll be at the airport is 7AM and you're supposed to be at the airport two hours before departure time. I think it's too much of a gamble. Even if you dropped off the car the day before, the 6AM passenger ferry from Cruz Bay to Red Hook is still not going to give you much time to get to the airport. You might consider spending your last night on St Thomas, maybe at the Best Western Emerald Beach resort which is very comfortable and right on the airport road.

Short answer..........no. As STTResident said, spend the last night in STT.
