Today is Thursday and i wake up early get some coffe and i am now sulking because i know its almost time to go home.
But... wait i am finally going to get to meet C Urchin and her hubby at 6:00 p tonight cant wait!
In the meantime its cloudy and drizzly so we decide to go shopping and ride up to mountain top.
The flee market down town was a zoo (Cruise ship people) and parking was hard but found a spot
Bought our 8 t-shirts for 20.00 and got back in the car.
Now we think we know how to get to Mt. Top but....
Why cant men stop and ask for direction?
An hour later were their
Unfortunatley its raining now so we couldnt see anything to take pics
walked around and decided to go back to cottage to rest up before we head back down to Red Hook
left around 5:30 to make sure we were their by 6:00
C Urchin was their all week taking her Bar exam so her hubby and her could move down(I know she passed her test- NO WORRYS)
We got a table, ordered drinks and waited for sherri and alex who was coming over on the 6:00p ferry from STJ
Finally were all together and had a marvelous time.
Its getting late and we all decide to rent a boat the next day and head over to yost for the day so its now a plan
Next morning (Fri) got the call at 7:30 from C Urchin "Have you looked outside latley"?
I get up and wouldnt you know it rain, cloudy, windy not a good day to boat
So we decide to wait a little bit to see what we were going to do for the day and im doing something its my last day!
Good news its starting to clear up 1/2 hr later so we make our phone calls and decide to head over to Waterlemon and meet up with sherri and alex
C Urchin and hubby went over on the 10:00am ferry and we made it on the 11:00 ferry.
Sherri and Alex had a jeep so we packed all of our stuff in their jeep got a cab and headed over to waterlemon

Now mind you ive never been their like the other 4 and they very conviently forgot to tell us about the 5 mile hike to where we were going to snorkel
I love hiking and a adventure but did i mention we had a very large cooler packed to the brim with drinks ice food and it must of weighed at least 50 lbs
we also had a smaller cooler (which the frame of it kept coming off and falling to the ground, actually it was pretty funny!!) we had all 6 of our snorlel equiptment beach bags ect you get the picture
we really needed a luggage cart- Who knew?
Finally get to our spot and start snorkeling right away, 1st thinfg we see is this huge sea turtle and a flounder fish!
We then walk another mile around the point to where the reef was, swim out and had a fabulous snokel trip
Im heading back in to shore and none of us could find our spot but was quite amused watching the Mongoose sneek into other peoples backpacks and steal all their food (little rascals)
AHA found our stuff and head back around the point
We must have been snorleing for a while cuz before we knwew it it was going on 5:00pm in the afternoon
We now have to load everything back up (Cooler much lighter now) and head the 10 miles back to the jeep.
Ok how are all 6 of us going to get back down to cruz bay?
Its not like their is a taxi stand right their.
Well lets all pack our selfs into this 4 person jeep with 2 coolers, snorkeling eqiptment, beach bags, backpacks ect..._Get the picture
So here we are Sherri driving, C Urchins hubby on passenger seat, C Urchin on his lap, My hubby whos 6'1 and Alex whos 6'1 in the back, im on hubbys lap, cooler squeezed net to us and im holding bags.
Now mind you we had to put the back seat down for this to work so needless to say their was no place for hubby and Alex to put their legs and feet.
Where theirs a will theirs a way
Hubby and Alexs legs had to hang out the back of the jeep leaving the back door open.
Alex took the backseat seatbelt and wraped it aroung the back outside tire and hung on for dear life so we all wouldnt go flying out the back!!!
Now Sherris driving and i think she forgot we were in the back and that C Urchins face was resting against the wind shield and that C Urchins hubby was leaking water from his bathing suit cuz we hit some of the worse bumps you can imagine and eveytime we would go around the rollercoaster road we all thought we were going to tip "Everyone lean left, now lean right" get the picture?
We finally made it in one piece and piled out of the jeep at Skinny legs ( you should of seen the laughs we got from the drivers behind us ha ha ha)
Well we make it inside a little shakey and we definatley need drinks and food.
We spent about an hour or so their called a cab cuz their was no way we were all piling back in that jeep like that and headed into cruz bay
We missed the 7:00 ferry back to STT so we went to the beach bar for my first ever "Pain killer"
Loved them!!!!!!!
Said our goodbyes to Alex and Sherri and got on the 8:00p ferry with C Urchin and her Hubby
We had such a great, and interesting day i hated to see it end but i think the week had caught up with me and was ready to hit the hay.
Made it back to the cottage and i think were going to bed but Noooooo
Hubby thinks just cuz its our last night we need to stay up as late as possible and sleep on the plane.
That lasted about an hour for me and i was off in never never land.
Woke up around 9:00a to torrential down pours did my normal routine and started to clean up.
Left our little piece of paradise ready to cry.
Decided we needed some more souviners and headed to the mall.
We ran into C Urchin and hubby and talked some more and said our final good byes.
By now were starving and all hubby wants is caribbean lobster before we leave
We go to "Hook line and sinker" only to be told NO Lobster, Oh Well he orders fish again.
Lunch was ok not great but we were so hungry we would have ate anything(He thinks the fish was not fresh)
After an hour their made our way to the airport, dropped off the jeep in the pouring rain and wait to check in.
After our plane was an hour late we were on our way to MIA only to leave MIA and get lost for an hour (Men dont ask for directions remember?)and finally made it home at 1:00am
By the way C Urchins hubby is hysterical, Cracked us up the whole time!!

Well i hop everyone enjoyed my story i know we did

If you ever have a chance to meet up with people from this site do it.

Yes, do meet up with people if you get the chance. Plus take the time to meet some of the locals on the board also. We had a great time with gobucs and her husband and with Sherri and Alex.

Waterlemon was great, the almost a mile hike felt like 5 miles with that cooler. Of course, I didn't carry it but the guys switched off carrying it and watching them made me sweat. . . :D. I should have lightened the load a little bit and had a few beers on the hike.

Gobucs got to see the infamous rock that I ran over with the SUV and teetered on like a see saw at Waterlemon. I still get teased about that from everyone here. Now that I'm back from taking the bar exam, I will finish up my trip report from the beginning of the month.

Thanks for the laughs, you brought many for me. Im going back to STJ alone (maybe a friend dunno yet) in Oct and I would love to meet up with anyone who is going to be there. Its so much fun to meet people in a area where you all have the same interest and passion for.

Gobucs, you are the hoot! Loved your witty trip report! I could just visualize all of ya crammed into that jeep! Guess I will need to keep a journal of the things we do so I can do a trip report when I get back to reality!

Byeee!

Awesome, gobucs! Sorry you never made it to Jost. Sounds like the 6 of you had a ball. I wish I could have joined in! Then again, that would have meant one more person in the jeep - YIKES! I don't know how you made it work without everyone falling out on the hills and bumps...especially that water gutter dip thingy down near Miss Lucy's.
