Okay, I'll say in advance that I'm embarrased to post this but what the heck, i'm among friends!!!

I'm a Kenny Chesney fan and saw him in concert recently and while I was looking at some recent pictures that were posted on this sight the song about the "Old Blue Chair" of his came on my ITunes and so I'm wondering... have any of you ever seen him while vacationing there or know any interesting tid bits of his living there? Just random thinking on my part, but I do love how he describes the feeling of being on St. John in that song and mentions Cinnamon Bay and it added so much to looking at the pictures! I think at least one of his albums was written in great part while he was there. Anyone know anything that will fuel my interest?

cocosmom - yeah he sang it this summer - columbus OH. It was toward the end of the concert, and it was great!

we kind of paid too much for our tickets ($200/piece) but I'm glad we went. It was a really good time, plus spending time with my sister who is always so busy with her 5 kids. Good to see her let loose once in a while!

Congratulations Coco...I would still like to see him, but just got tickets to The Police and they're sure weren't cheap.

Maybe next time he's in town.

Connie! We are going to the Police too! 😀 I bought tickets back in March. I was on ticketmaster even before 10am and we still didn't get the best seats. That's ok, they aren't too bad. But boy were they expensive! We are going in Dallas on Wednesday June 27. That will be fun! Sting/The Police have been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I have them on vinyl even! I've seen Sting a long time ago, he puts on a good show.

Coco....all i can think about is how i'm not going to that concert tomorrow night :o( Going down the shore at noon today and we just can't come back up because of another committment. Should be a great show! I did go to ebay and some of the prices are really good. Next time if he comes back.

Have a great time!!!

Connie,
That was what happened to me, I kept thinking about the show all week & had to be there! We have been at his Philly concerts for the last 3 years ( of course we didn't have to pay for those tickets LOL..got to love Cruzan!) Just got my tickets in the mail & ready to go. High of 78 degrees should make it a perfect day to spend 7 hours at a concert!
Have fun at the shore..next best place to be...oh wait that would be STJ! 🙂

Well coco....i ended up getting tickets to the concert less then 24 hours before the show!!!!!!!!!!!!

For anybody who doesn't think that Kenny Chesney is an entertainer, a fabulous singer and a nice guy, should really go and see him show.

This was my first time and I have to say, although I wasn't his #1 fan, I'm definitely a convert now.

I hate to say this, and I'll probably get some feedback on this, but there's NO comparison between Kenny and Jimmy Buffet. At least Kenny can carry a tune.

He really seems to like what he does up on stage and the nice guy part comes up at the end of the concert when he signs an acoustic guitar and then walks back and forth to give it to somebody. He ended up giving it to a little girl that he pulled up on stage. Now that's nice.

I have new respect for him now.

Talk about spending too much to see Kenny, I just bought my 2nd row seats for $880 for his August 26th show here in Maryland and this will be my 13th time seeing him and 4th tour. I know I am CRAZY but he is worth it and after being up close to him for 11 times out of the 12 and he has grabbed my hands 3 times and even sweated on me once, which was on my birthday last June 29th in Greenville, SC. I HAVE to be close to him. I just saw him in Palm Beach on June 3rd and a bunch of friends had flown in from St. John. I met one of them. I bought what I thought was 3rd row seats but they were front row. Once he came on stage the fans rushed the stage so I was up there in front of him for 2 hours and I met a man that was standing next to me and we talked a lot during the concert and he said a bunch of people were there from St. John and he had a backstage pass around his neck. He did get Nick the fiddler player to drop a guitar pick in my hand (my 3rd one) which was fun. Mostly I was so into watching Kenny and having him in front of me for 2 hours that I couldn't think of anything else. I am kind of mad at myself for not seeing if his St. John friend could have gotten me back stage but oh well.

My 3rd guitar pic, lol!
It drives my husband crazy because I will never buy tickets past the 3rd row. Once you get used to being up there, you can't go back to ordinary seats. I spend a lot of money but work hard the rest of the year and we don't have kids and there could be worse things that I could be into. But yeah, I love the challenge of every concert to see if I can get that autograph or get a guitar pic or get him to grab my hand. I have been really lucky!

Coco...we were in the Holiday Inn parking lot with about 7 other cars. One good thing about that parking lot is you can use the Holiday Inn's bathroom (for the gals).

Thanks for the picture, and please send me the link for those pictures, if you don't mind.

Definetly will go back next year (if he comes) and right now i have my t-shirt on. After I get my pictures developed, i'll post them on this board because a few of them should be pretty funny.

I'm still suffering from yesterday. Legs and feet are killing me.

Coco or L...can you name the last song that was played? Not the last song he sang, but the last one that was played without singing? Knew every work. That's how old I am!
